Salt & Steel
Salt & Steel is a journey through Britain’s forgotten coastlines and back roads, where sea salt, engine oil, weathered faces, and worn machines tell stories of endurance and freedom. Born from the spirit of the roamer and the pull of the B(ack) roads, these photographs embrace grit, grain, and imperfection, finding beauty in harbour towns, biker cafés, industrial edges, and the quiet moments between destinations. This is not a search for perfection—it is a celebration of authenticity, movement, and the poetry hidden in places most people pass by.
The Book
While the images and the gallery came first, I wondered what was next for these images? Faces and Hands don’t lie. A phone screen invites you to swipe past it; a page asks you to sit with it. At this point its an idea, but still a true documentary of people, place and time.
